Regional Track and Field Results

In track and field action this week, the following team members competed at their respective Regionals.  The following girls competed at West Lafayette Tuesday evening.  Senior Jessi Shelton competed in the 100 Hurdles finishing 9th and the 300 Hurdles finishing 10th.  Junior Grace Lowe competed in the 100 meter dash finishing 11th.   Sophomore Brittany Barrett

McKinsey to Play at Earlham

Southmont Senior Alexa McKinsey announced Thursday her decision to play basketball at Earlham College. McKinsey said she plans to major in English and minor in Journalism while at Earlham College. Congratulations Alexa from all of us at Southmont High School!

Mounties Win Sectional Title

Congratulations Lady Mounties Softball players on your Sectional Title against Clinton Central with 4-0 win.  The Mounties will now take on Oak Hill on Tuesday for regionals with a 6:00 p.m. at Oak Hill. Congratulations ladies and best wishes next week.

Southmont Summer Moratorium

The IHSAA mandates Southmont athletic facilities will be closed June 30th thru July 6th.  Facilities will also be closed July 28th thru August 3rd.  Please contact the Athletic Department at 765.866.1144 with any questions.

Baseball Postponed

Due to weather from last evening the first round of sectional baseball that was scheduled for this evening for our Mounties will be pushed back to Friday evening with a 7:30 p.m. start time against Clinton Central at South Vermillion. Please contact the Athletic Department with any questions.

Softball Heading to Sectional Championship

Congratulations to the Mountie Softball team, as they defeated Seeger last night with a score of 9-0.  Our girls will be playing in the sectional championship on Thursday at 7pm at Riverton Parke.  The 19-8 Lady Mounties will take on 19-7 Clinton Central.

Morris Signs Letter of Intent with Earlham

Southmont Senior Kayla Morris signed her letter of intent to Earlham College for Volleyball with proud Michael and Debra and Coach Barry at her side. Morris said she plans on studying Biology while at Earlham College. Congratulations Kayla from all of us at Southmont High School!
